OKIN GROUP has successfully completed stocktaking of tangible assets of Komerční banka

By signing the acceptance certificate OKIN GROUP has finished contractor’s work on physical stocktaking of Komerční banka’s tangible assets. OKIN GROUP has secured this service for Komerční banka for the third successive year; as in previous years the outcome has been a successful completion of stocktaking of tangible assets of Komerční banka, comprising hundreds of thousands of items in more than 400 branches in the whole of the Czech Republic.

This year’s project of physical stocktaking of tangible assets of Komerční banka was started in June 2008. After already two years of experience the physical stocktaking itself ran very smoothly in the month of October and OKIN completed the project as early as the end of November. The acceptance certificate was signed by the Bank’s representatives last week.

Bohumil Čučela, Head of Accounting and Reporting of Komerční banka, has commented on the cooperation of the two companies: “As in previous year the work on the standardization of the process of all stocktaking was started well in advance. Our aim was to ensure that all stocktaking processes be set up in advance so that neither companies were to solve methodological problems in the course of preparation, development and processing of outcomes of stocktaking.”

OKIN GROUP has fully capitalised on its experience of two years of successful cooperation. “More detailed procedures and more efficient technologies were determined anew,” states Milan März who has managed the OKIN GROUP realisation team. The preconditions for success lay above all in precisely elaborated methodology which made possible fluent registration of all items. “We have also attached great importance to organizing twenty-eight stocktaking committees which moved around the whole country and within 22 working days had to cover all 414 Bank branches in towns across the whole of the Czech Republic,” Milan März has said. A significant contribution for mutual cooperation was achieved through the setting of HelpDesk (temporary information line) right in the Property Accounting Department of Komerční banka. With the help of this line operational support was provided to committee members in the entire course of physical stocktaking.

“Adjusting to the needs of Komerční banka has become standard on the part of the contractor. For example, this involves stocktaking in client space outside of our branches’ opening hours or informing us, already before the start of property stocktaking itself, about the time when and in what composition the relevant stocktaking committee is to start its work at the given premises,” Bohumil Čučela of Komerční banka comments on the cooperation.

In addition to physical stocktaking of tangible assets OKIN GROUP performs facility management services for Komerční banka in its branches in the Region of Moravia and the so-called central services consisting of car pool, management of training and accommodation centres, services of postal and parcel forwarding office, depository, flats management, and telecommunication operation.
